The Coalition Against Trafficking in Women – Asia Pacific’s (CATW-AP) executive director, Jean Enriquez, was recognized as one of the modern day heroes by Yahoo! Southeast Asia last June 12.

Other six were Alexis Belonio, Jay Jaboneta, Tomas Leonor, Heidi Mendoza, Anna Oposa and Tzarina Saniel who have their own unique and inspiring stories in different categories.

The seven inspiring Filipinos were chosen from numerous nominations for the group’s “Pitong Pinoy” project.

   These Filipinos are very inspiring, they are very dedicated and selfless..I hope more people would be like them and start making changes that can help make our country a better nation.
